Founded and led by Troy, Roof NQ provides specialist roofing services across Cairns and surrounding North Queensland communities.
The business undertakes a broad range of work, from residential roof replacements and repairs to complex architectural installations, commercial roofing and multi-storey body corporate projects.
Roof NQ's approach is based on assessing the complete roofing system rather than focusing solely on the visible roof covering. Structural connections, roof profiles, fixing methods, flashings and drainage all contribute to how a roof performs over time.
The team combines practical installation experience with in-house metal fabrication capability, allowing components to be manufactured to suit the specific requirements of each project.

“We recently engaged Roof-NQ to complete a full roof replacement for our body corporate in Port Douglas, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Troy and his team were excellent from start to finish. Troy was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the Strata Resilience Program, and thanks to his support, we were fortunate enough to secure a grant to help cover the cost of the works. Our building is over 33 years old, and the roof had well and truly reached the point where it needed to be replaced. It was a very important upgrade to protect the property and residents, especially given the harsh North Queensland environment. In addition to the new roof, all gutters were replaced, and new insulation was installed, which has already made a noticeable difference in keeping the property cooler. Troy provided a clear timeframe and communicated with us every step of the way. Despite the challenges of a February installation and the typical wet weather, the team worked around the conditions and delivered everything as scheduled. All owners are extremely happy with the result and very grateful we were able to secure the grant. “The Body Corporate of Argyle Gardens engaged Roof-NQ through a competitive quotation process to supply and install new roofing across 11 units, spanning three separate buildings within the complex. Roof-NQ submitted a strong proposal supported by documentation demonstrating their experience in commercial construction and familiarity with Government grant programs. The Argyle Gardens Onsite Manager served as the primary communication link between Roof-NQ and the Body Corporate Committee. Roof-NQ maintained effective coordination with the scaffolding subcontractor, arranging early site inspections and establishing suitable laydown areas for equipment and materials. Throughout the project, which ran from June to September 2025, Roof-NQ maintained consistent and clear communication. They demonstrated professionalism and diligence in their site attendance and work practices, and ensured thorough site clean-up at the conclusion of each day. Argyle Gardens is very pleased with the completed works, including new roofs, flashings, and gutters. These upgrades have extended the life of the assets, improved structural integrity, and eliminated previous roof leaks.
