Specialist Roofing Services
Roof NQ provides roofing services across residential, commercial, architectural and body corporate properties. From complete roof replacements to complex metal fabrication and structural upgrades, every project is approached with careful consideration of the building, its environment and its long-term requirements.

Designed for North Queensland
Built to Meet the Demands of the Tropics.
North Queensland's climate places significant demands on roofing systems. Cyclonic winds, intense rainfall, humidity and coastal exposure require careful consideration of materials, fixing methods, structural connections and water management — considerations Roof NQ brings into the assessment, specification and installation of each project.
- 01
Cyclonic Wind Conditions
Roofing systems are specified and installed to suit the property's applicable wind classification, including C3 and C4 cyclonic conditions where required.
- 02
High-Intensity Rainfall
Roof pitches, gutters, sumps, downpipes and overflow provisions are considered together to manage the demands of tropical rainfall.
- 03
Coastal Corrosion Resistance
Roofing materials and compatible fixings are selected with consideration for humidity, salt exposure and the property's proximity to the coast.
- 04
Structural Tie-Down
Roof battens, fixing patterns and structural connections are assessed as part of the overall roofing system, particularly when upgrading older buildings.
- 05
Custom Metal Detailing
Purpose-made flashings, ridge cappings, parapet details and drainage components provide solutions where standard profiles are unsuitable.
- 06
Standards & Compliance
Roofing work is planned and undertaken with reference to applicable Australian Standards, regulatory requirements and relevant manufacturer specifications.

What Our Clients Say
Feedback from homeowners, body corporate representatives and project clients who have worked with Roof NQ.
“I have always found ROOF-NQ's workmanship to be first class, and found that we align in our philosophies of do it once, do it well and don't cut corners with process and material quality.”Read full review →
“We had the good fortune to be introduced to Troy and his team a few months ago. We have an ongoing resort-style home project underway on acreage in Cairns and needed help with various roofing situations. Troy was able to assist us with these projects. I found his team to be professional, energetic, capable, friendly, and obliging. … I have always found ROOF-NQ's workmanship to be first class, and found that we align in our philosophies of do it once, do it well and don't cut corners with process and material quality. While there are many problems associated with an owner-build project, at least there's one thing I don't have to micromanage. My roofing components are all in Troy's hands!”

“Just writing to thank you and your team very much for the work you have done at our home in Yorkeys Knob. The boys were all professional and clearly hard working in very trying circumstances. They showed us empathy toward our situation and treated ourselves and our home with respect. We would have no hesitation recommending you and your team to anyone needing your services.”
“It is a pleasure having your team at our home. Thank you for taking the time to talk with me and provide updates. You work cohesively, quietly, and respectfully with each other.”Read full review →
“When our neighbours did their roof, the whole experience from our side was lots of men making lots of noise, swearing at loud decibels, loud bad music, and many trucks, trailers, and cars on our footpath for two weeks. So, when it came to our job, I was somewhat expecting the same. We can say that it is a pleasure having your team at our home. Thank you for taking the time to talk with me and provide updates. Your team are lovely. You work cohesively, quietly, and respectfully with each other. We are suitably impressed.”
“Troy and his team were excellent from start to finish. Troy was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the Strata Resilience Program.”Read full review →
“We recently engaged Roof-NQ to complete a full roof replacement for our body corporate in Port Douglas, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Troy and his team were excellent from start to finish. Troy was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the Strata Resilience Program, and thanks to his support, we were fortunate enough to secure a grant to help cover the cost of the works. Our building is over 33 years old, and the roof had well and truly reached the point where it needed to be replaced. It was a very important upgrade to protect the property and residents, especially given the harsh North Queensland environment. In addition to the new roof, all gutters were replaced, and new insulation was installed, which has already made a noticeable difference in keeping the property cooler. Troy provided a clear timeframe and communicated with us every step of the way. Despite the challenges of a February installation and the typical wet weather, the team worked around the conditions and delivered everything as scheduled. All owners are extremely happy with the result and very grateful we were able to secure the grant. We highly recommend Troy and the team at Roof-NQ for their professionalism, communication, and quality workmanship.”
“We would confidently recommend Roof-NQ to body corporates and residential owners considering roof replacement or roof upgrade works.”Read full review →
“The Body Corporate of Argyle Gardens engaged Roof-NQ through a competitive quotation process to supply and install new roofing across 11 units, spanning three separate buildings within the complex. Roof-NQ submitted a strong proposal supported by documentation demonstrating their experience in commercial construction and familiarity with Government grant programs. The Argyle Gardens Onsite Manager served as the primary communication link between Roof-NQ and the Body Corporate Committee. Roof-NQ maintained effective coordination with the scaffolding subcontractor, arranging early site inspections and establishing suitable laydown areas for equipment and materials. Throughout the project, which ran from June to September 2025, Roof-NQ maintained consistent and clear communication. They demonstrated professionalism and diligence in their site attendance and work practices, and ensured thorough site clean-up at the conclusion of each day. Argyle Gardens is very pleased with the completed works, including new roofs, flashings, and gutters. These upgrades have extended the life of the assets, improved structural integrity, and eliminated previous roof leaks. We would confidently recommend Roof-NQ to body corporates and residential owners considering roof replacement or roof upgrade works.”

FAQ
Common questions
Something else? Call 0438 496 947.
When should an ageing roof be replaced?
A roof replacement may be appropriate when corrosion, recurring leaks, deteriorating fixings or structural defects affect multiple areas of the roof. A professional inspection can determine whether targeted repairs remain practical or whether a complete replacement offers better long-term value.
What are the benefits of converting from tile to metal roofing?
Metal roofing is considerably lighter than traditional tile roofing and can reduce the load on the supporting structure. A conversion also provides an opportunity to upgrade roof battens, fixing systems, insulation and drainage to suit current requirements.
Does Roof NQ undertake commercial roofing?
Yes. Roof NQ undertakes commercial roofing projects, including roof replacements, structural upgrades, repairs and drainage improvements. Work is planned around building access, operational requirements and site safety.
Can Roof NQ assist body corporate properties?
Yes. Roof NQ has experience with occupied multi-unit buildings, including the completed Mid-City Apartments project in Cairns City. The team works with body corporate representatives and strata managers to coordinate scopes, access, residents and project delivery.
What happens during a roof inspection?
An inspection assesses the roof's condition, including sheeting, flashings, fixings, drainage and accessible structural components. Roof NQ can then explain the findings and recommend an appropriate scope of work.
How can I request a roofing quote?
Call Roof NQ on 0438 496 947 or submit an enquiry through the website. Provide some information about the property and the required work so the team can discuss the next steps and arrange an inspection where appropriate.
